Colombia
Colombian Gesha has landed in the Neighbourhood! This limited edition micro-lot is supercharged with sophisticated and stand-out notes of red vermouth, gooseberry and decadent chocolate pears sweetness. Imagine Al Green’s discography could be distilled down into a coffee. Still holding strong as one of the industry’s buzziest varietals, ‘Let’s Sip Together’ is Neighbourhood’s second Gesha offering but unlike its name sake, this one won’t be around forever.
Grown by Sebastian Gomez, on the family run La Divisa farm at 1,700m in Circasia, Quindio. Working with the support of his wife and his father who has over 30 years coffee experience, Sebastian introduced speciality varieties like Geisha and Pink Bourbon to the family’s farm in 2014 after seeing the movements growth in other countries coffee industries.
Passionate about creating a quality product, Sebastian knew that with time, their hard work would speak for itself. Producing marvellous results within three years, now ten years on, Sebastian is reaping the rewards of a radically different coffee industry that truly cares about high quality.
This micro-lot is 100% Gesha. Whole cherries are aerobically fermented for 24 hours then placed in Grainpro bags for 50 hours at a controlled temperature with C02 added. Finally being dried whole on raised beds until ideal moisture content is achieved.
