We have an awesome team.

They’re a varied different bunch of wonderful individuals, come together to try to make your coffee as enjoyable as it could be. That mission exists, whatever part of the processes they’re involved in, from sourcing to logistics, social media to roasting, with a whole heap of everything else in between.

We know enough to know that we don’t know everything, and we’ve got a long way to go. Hence, we need people like you to come join the team and get involved.

Our aim is that if you come to work here, it’ll be the best job you’ve ever had. We get asked often if those who want to get into the coffee industry can spend some time volunteering at NCR, to gain experience in some aspect of what we do, whether that be training, roasting or similar. We don’t accept these kind of placements, for the reasons listed below:

  • If you work, you should be getting paid. Anyone who says anything else is a loon.
  • Our team are the lifeblood of the business, and we want to focus all our efforts and energies on helping them achieve their goals, keep developing and having an awesome time.
  • We try to run the most unbiased hiring processes possible. If you’ve been here as a volunteer that that’s guaranteed to compromise the process.

Our hiring process is as much about character, values, and attitude a it is about relevant skills and experiences. All of us are always learning, and thirsty to keep growing and getting better. A lack of experience isn’t necessarily a barrier, so don’t be put off applying. Any job opportunity will list the essential skills and experiences – so please check these before submitting, but beyond that, we want people to join who will love it here, embrace what we’re about, and have the most fun possible whilst being awesome.
